Important: character encoding format

If you are making your own .srt closed captions or subtitle file, you must crate to the following specs:

Character encoding: UTF-8

Line endings: Unix

We recommend using a text editor such as TextWrangler, where you can open and re-save the file in UTF-8 and Unix.
